Overview

Dr. Brijesh Dutta Sharma has done Graduate and postgraduate degrees from Meerut University Meerut in 1980 and 1982, respectively. He obtained a Ph. D degree  from GBPUAT, Pant Nagar (Uttarakhand), India in 1985. He joined the Agricultural Research Service as a scientist under the aegis of Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi in 1985 itself. He also went to Tropical Research Centre, Okinawa, Japan as a Visiting Research Scientist during 1992-93 (one year). During service career he worked in different capacities as scientist, Senior Scientist, Principal Scientist, Head Division of Crop Production and got superannuated in the year 2022 as Director, ICAR- Central Institute for Arid Horticulture, Bikaner. He published research papers in national and international repute journals. He organized seminars, symposia, workshops, etc and also undergone different refresher courses and MDP training programs. He was Secretary of Indian Society of Arid Horticulture and member of several professional societies.
