Multidisciplinary/Interdisciplinary Education

  • RNB Global University has been conceptualized with the vision of multidisciplinary education. The university has progressed in this direction step by step. It started with only four Programs in 2015. In due course of time, we have started the Agriculture stream and Ph D programs. Now the university is running twelve programs in ‘Basic and Applied Sciences’, ‘Commerce and Management’, and ‘Law and Arts’. For the next academic year, the Board of Management has approved PG programs in Agriculture. We have got affiliation from the Pharmacy Council of India for running D Pharma. We have also applied to NCTE for ITEP programs.
  • The University aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 by offering multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary courses. Since 2015, RNBGU has adopted a multidisciplinary curriculum across its programs. It provides interdisciplinary options like BBA LLB and BA LLB and promotes learning through over 20 General Elective Courses, such as Business Communication and Intellectual Property Rights, and around 25 Value-added Courses open to all UG students. Additionally, RNBGU offers Value-added Certificate Courses for UG, PG, and Ph.D. students and encourages students to take MOOC courses from platforms like SWAYAM and NPTEL.
  • The university has incorporated a Community Outreach course of four credits in the III and IV semesters of all UG programs like BA, BBA, BCA, and B Com. The University also has a one-credit course on Human Values/Social Service/ NCC/ NSS in every semester of all the programs. The two credit courses for environment education offered by RNBGU are: Study of Ecosystem & Natural Resources (EVS-I) in the II semester and Biodiversity & Environmental Conservation (EVS-II) in the IV semester & and Renewable Energy and Energy Harvesting as a Value Added course for all UG programs.
  • The University established the NEP Committee in May 2022 to ensure the effective implementation of NEP 2020. As we are following a credit-based courses system since the inception of the University, we have conveniently implemented the multiple entry and exit system for four-year undergraduate programs; BA, BBA, BCA, and B Com (Hons.), in alignment with the NEP 2020 UGC credit framework since the 2023 batch.
  • The University offers the option of a research project/ dissertation in the VI semester of all the programs. We encourage students to undertake capstone projects and theses that involve multidisciplinary research, providing a platform for the practical application of knowledge. Workshops, Seminars, Conferences, and training sessions are regularly organized to equip students with the skills needed for multidisciplinary research. The university has collaborated with research and academic institutes of national and International repute, like; Scientific Innovation Research Group, Beni-Suef University, Egypt, Sustainable Development Management Institute (SDMI), France, Central Institute of Arid Horticulture (CIAH), etc. to facilitate students with advanced techniques.
  • Apart from having the option of a multidisciplinary flexible elective system, RNBGU has collaborated and signed MoUs with more than 50 industries and businesses that operate at the intersection of multiple fields, such as biotechnology firms, environmental consultancies, and tech companies. These collaborations provide students with opportunities for internships and real-world project experience. The incubation and Entrepreneurship Cell of the university supports startups and projects with an interdisciplinary focus. This center provides resources, mentorship, and funding for entrepreneurial ventures that combine knowledge from different domains.
