Objectives of the Practice-
The overall objective of being a centre of excellence has been facilitated by implementing ERP
In the effort to provide world class education & equip students with necessary skill and knowledge which will make them capable enough to compete at global level, university have chosen Learning Management System (LMS)as a mode of delivering education.
This system not only ensures effective and interactive delivery of education but it also helps the student to be competitive at global level.
The use of ICT enabled tools for imparting education in western Rajasthan is very less. As the result students, mainly the students of rural areas are not exposed to modern pedagogy tools.
University believes that the time of faculty members should be devoted more in teaching and research; hence there was a need of system for them where they have easy access to all information.
ERP provides better support for planning, analysis, assessment, compliance & reporting. It also ensures better control over the organization & simplify the decision making process.
University have a MOU with Tata Consultancy Services( TCS-ion), one of the world’s leading software solution provider as a service provider of its ERP & LMS.
University has the subscription of Gmail and separate mail id is made for each students & faculty members. All communication is done via Gmail only. All information & circulars are issued via Gmail, along with ERP( TCS-ion)

LMS provides a dynamic platform for delivering & planning effective and interactive teaching.
Classes are mapped on LMS, the attendance of students is marked on this system. Lesson plan is shared. The class notes in form of PPT, are uploaded on LMS along with additional material.
Audio and Video inputs can also be uploaded, which further makes the delivery effective. All the assignments, class tests, are mapped on this system and evaluation is done on the same.
Students can access the uploaded material anywhere and at anytime. The summary of attendance provides students a clear idea about their attendance in respective subjects.
The faculty & staff members “Leaves” are managed through this system, they can apply for leaves online, this reduces paper work and is time saving as well. Information about holiday list can be accessed & their salary slip can be also be generated.
The library of the university is integrated through the library module of TCS ion, all accession & issuing of books is done through ERP. It ensures proper record keeping and safety of books.
The faculty and students can search for books on the system, which provides information about the availability of a particular book and its copies available in library at given point of time. Students can also reserve the book on their name.
The students can raise their tickets on Student Help Desk service available on dash board, this service is provided by university to its students for timely solution of their problems and issues. This ensures transparency in the procedure and also useful in monitoring the progress.
Admission process of university is also integrated with ERP. Interested students can apply online for admission and can fix the day of campus visit.
Examination process is also managed by ERP which includes hall ticket generation to display of exam results. The examination process on ERP be used to manage both regular and backlog examinations.
Subject Selection Rules can be applied at the point of registration/ enrolment to the semester/session, and similarly exam eligibility rules can be applied prior to examinations based on the criteria for the required examination.
This also works as a screening mechanism and only students meeting all required criteria, such as attendance, internal marks, assignments, etc. are permitted to appear for the main examination for the level/program.
This system ensures secrecy and improves the efficiency. Students can access the results online.
University believes that use of such systems exposes the students to the modern teaching systems which have been adapted in leading educational institutes worldwide.
A university student needs are much more to be fulfilled by traditional teaching pedagogy. LMS is an interface where faculty members can complement their teaching with latest information & can make it interesting.
Owing to the breakdown of COVID-19, from 15th March 2020, the offline classes were suspended as a precautionary measure all over the country. RNBGU was one of first educational institute which was able to start online classes within 3 days i.e 18th March 2020.
Our students didn’t faced any problem in entire online mode of education. Not only classes but other pedagogy tools were effectively used, in a situation where students of education institutes from across the country suffered where traditional system of teaching existed.
Students have become very much comfortable in working on digital platforms.
This system has helped to bridge the capability gap, since almost all business organizations today are functioning with the help of ERP.
RNB Global University understands that many students who come from tier-III or rural background might take some time to be comfortable on this practice. Therefore university conducts extensive orientation session on LMS before the beginning of first semester of all programs.
Any problem faced by students regarding LMS is resolved at the earliest by the Student Help Desk and IT Cell.
For those students who do not have personal computers, university has developed a Mobile App as well.
New Faculty members are compulsorily given training for working on LMS by IT Cell during their orientation session, held after their joining, as they may not have the past experience of delivering lectures ICT enabled system
The supporting hardware needed are also provided by university. All class rooms of university are equipped with ICT tools. The complete networking is undertaken by Hewlett-Packard(HP).
The ERP system gets updated every session/year; as per the updates made by TCS-ion on the feed back of various educational institutes, including RNB Global university.
University believes that all higher education institutes should implement modern education delivery system in their campus. The needs of university students are different, which consists of access to latest updated information of their subjects.
Also the students should be equipped with employability skills, for which experience of working /studying on such systems develops these skills.
The service provider for such system should be wisely selected on the basic of their expertise. Any interruption in the service can derail the process. Proper training should be provided to the students and faculty members to work effectively on such system.
The practice of using webinar, seminars and video conferencing via Google meet / Zoom meet widely became popular during COVID- 19, however RNBGU, since its inception in year 2015, has been conducting online webinars & seminars from experts present at different locations.
