Dr. Singh Memorial British Parliamentary Debate Season XIV

Location:- RNB Global University

Dear Students,

With the world embracing democracy wholeheartedly, PCTE Group of Institutes is back with the enriching Dr. DR Singh Memorial British Parliamentary Debate Season XIV on 2nd and 3rd Feb, 2024.

The British Parliamentary debating format is the official format of the World Universities Debating Championships (WUDC).  

PCTE with the active cooperation of LMA (Ludhiana Management Association) pioneered British Parliamentary Debate in the country a decade ago.

This event has been a platform for brilliant young minds from across India and neighboring Countries to cross swords with their counter parts, foster healthy contentions and learn to appreciate diverse flow of ideas and opinions.

Rs. 3000 (to each team)

ACCOMMODATION

Comfortable accommodation will be provided to students from outside Punjab free of cost. 

Note - In case you need to stay further you will have to make your own arrangements.

REGISTRATION

·         No registration fee.

·         Two teams of 04 students in each team.

The students are to prepare on the proposition and its rebuttal. The frame of the debate would be as under:

  1. Introduction of the topic to be given by one participant of the team. Time frame-2mins
  2. Proposition by the second member of the team. Time frame-3-4mins
  3. The rebuttal of the proposition by the third member of the team. Time frame-3mins.
  4. The fourth participant may give the help to the team of 3 participants.

The name of the interested students for the above mentioned debate competition must reach by 20th December 2023 for further proceedings to Dr. Meenakshi Sharma @meenakshi.sharma@rnbglobal.edu.in.
