Call for Papers: Seminar on “Exploring Dimensions of Gender Sensitivity: Theory, Practice, and Social Change”

We are pleased to invite students, scholars and researchers of RNB Global University to submit their papers to present in the upcoming Seminar on Exploring Dimensions of Gender Sensitivity: Theory, Practice, and Social Change on 1^st September 2023, which aims to foster a deep understanding of gender-related issues, promote dialogue, and contribute to societal change. This seminar will provide a platform to discuss theoretical perspectives, empirical research, and practical approaches to enhancing gender sensitivity across various domains. Selected papers will be published in the form of book chapters in a book with ISBN no.

Seminar Themes:

1. Gender and Identity: Examining the construction of gender identities, the experiences of transgender and non-binary individuals, and the intersections of gender with other identities such as race, ethnicity, sexuality, and disability.
2. Gender Stereotypes and Media: Analyzing the role of media in perpetuating or challenging gender stereotypes, and exploring ways to promote positive representations of gender diversity in various forms of media.
3. Gender in Education: Exploring educational practices that promote gender equality, address gender-based violence in educational settings, and empower students to think critically about gender norms.
4. Workplace Gender Dynamics: Investigating challenges and strategies for promoting gender equality in the workplace, including issues related to the gender pay gap, leadership opportunities, and work-life balance.
5. Gender and Health: Examining the impact of gender norms on access to healthcare, mental health, and reproductive rights, and exploring ways to ensure inclusive and sensitive healthcare services.
6. Gender-Based Violence: Discussing strategies for preventing and addressing gender-based violence, including domestic violence, sexual harassment, and human trafficking.
7. Legal and Policy Perspectives: Analyzing existing legal frameworks and policies aimed at promoting gender equality and addressing discrimination, and identifying gaps and areas for improvement.
8. Engaging Men and Boys: Exploring approaches to involving men and boys as allies in the gender equality movement and challenging harmful notions of masculinity.

Submission Guidelines:

• Abstract Submission Deadline: [18-08-2023]
• Full Paper Submission Deadline: [08-09-2023]
• Abstracts and papers should be submitted to [ submit.paper@rnbglobal.edu.in ]
• Papers must be original and not previously published.
• Each speaker shall be given 10 minutes to speak.  Students can give oral/ poster/ PPT presentation.
• Students can also co-author research papers.
