Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA)

The University has taken significant strides in aligning itself with the vision and objectives of the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA), an initiative of the Ministry of Education, Government of India, aimed at transformational change in rural development through knowledge institutions. In adherence to this national movement, the University has successfully adopted five villages under the UBA framework, thereby committing to the holistic development of rural communities by leveraging its academic and research strengths.

Key Initiatives:
  • Legal Aid Camps: Conducted regularly to spread legal awareness and provide free legal counseling, empowering villagers with knowledge of their rights and legal remedies.
  • Cleanliness Drives: In alignment with the Swachh Bharat Mission, cleanliness campaigns are conducted to promote hygiene, sanitation, and a healthy environment.
  • Plantation Drives: Green initiatives through tree plantations aimed at environmental sustainability and fostering eco-consciousness.
  • Digital Literacy Programs: Training sessions on computer basics, internet usage, and e-governance services to bridge the digital divide.
  • Cyber Fraud Awareness: Sessions organized to educate villagers on safe digital practices and preventing online fraud.
  • Socio-Economic Surveys: In-depth surveys to assess conditions in the adopted villages, guiding need-based planning and development.
  • Bal Sabha (Children’s Assembly): Educational and cultural gatherings to foster creativity, confidence, and awareness among children.

The University's active involvement in the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan exemplifies its commitment to nation-building through rural transformation.
