Guest Lecture on Motor Vehicle act by Adv. Pramod Khanna, Rajasthan High Court

The journey on Interactive and Experiential learning is alive and the School of Law, RNBGU, Organized a guest lecture on “Motor Vehicle Act” at the University Campus. Mr. Pramod Khanna, Senior Advocate, Rajasthan High Court shared his vast knowledge and experience with the students of Law.
 
During the session, Adv. Khanna Said that few amendments have been made in the act for providing adequate compensation to victims of road accidents without going into long drawn procedure, Protecting consumers’ interest in Transport Sector, concern for road safety standards, transport of hazardous chemicals and pollution control delegation of greater powers to State Transport Authorities and rationalising the role of public authorities in certain matters as well.
 
Adv. Khanna also discussed various Practical dimensions of Motor Vehicle Act like- the position of Indian law and the remedies available in Hit and Run case. Adv. Khanna discussed the Ideologies of looking at amendment made in 2017 and also discussed that these amendments were need of the time. He also introduced the participants to many exclusive examples and challenges in the act at large with reference to the recent changes made in the act.
 
The discussion was followed by an open interactive session. Such interactive lecture really inculcates the true means of learning among the students.
