In observation of India’s largest religious festival Diwali, RNB Global University, Bikaner hosted Dhanteras Celebration on 28th October 2016. Following the rituals of decorating the homes and workplaces to seek the blessings of Goddess Laxmi, the University decorated their abode of knowledge and organized the Ganesh and Laxmi Pujan in the admin block. Respected Mrs Sarla Devi Bajaj, the Hon’ble Vice Chairpersons of the RNB Global University Mr. K.K Bajaj, Mr. Vikram Bajaj and the Hon’ble President Lt. Gen. R. K Karwal commenced the celebration by lighting the lamp for the Ganesh and Laxmi Pujan.
Miss Sidhi Kumari, the Hon’ble Member of Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, Bikaner East was the Hon’ble Chief Guest for the event. The Hon’ble President of the university welcomed the Chief Guest expressing gratitude in his address. Ms Sidhi Kumari in her address spoke about the importance of quality education. She motivated the student’s especially female lot to be passionate for their aim and no matter how challenging the path might be, the success will come to you. She gave away the prizes to the winners of the various competitions held during the semester. Winners of the sports fest SPREE were honored to receive the prizes by the Hon’ble President of the University.
Komalta Bhargav (LLB I semester) and Nikita Soni (MBA I Semester) impressed the guests and audience with their eloquent compering. A traditional dance performance by Mukund Kanwar Rathore from LLB I semester set the mood of festivity. The audience was spellbound by the dazzling dance performance of Dikhsha Bhura and Aarti Rathi from MBA III semester.
The vote of thanks was delivered by the Registrar, RNB Global University Prof. Mahendra Ghadoliya. The whole admin block illumined with glory of light diyas and the fragrance of flowers and incense sticks. The foyer was beautifully decorated by the students of BBA third semester with colorful Rangoli. Competitions like Rangoli and Diya decorations were also organized in admin block enhancing the charm of the celebration. Co-ordinated by the Event’s Forum of the University the event drew over to all staff and students to enjoy this auspicious festival in this abode of knowledge.
