RNB Global University organized two days annual sports fest-“SPREE 2018” on 26th-27th January 2018. The aim of organizing such event is to explore the sport’s talent and to inculcate the spirit of competition where students can get the opportunity to organize and participate in different indoor and outdoor sports.
SPREE-2018 was declared as open by Mr. Pramod Bajaj, Honorable Chief Guest and Vice Chairman of RNBGU, at open air theater. A plethora of competitions comprising of various indoor and outdoor sports like Lawn Tennis, 100 meter race, 800 meter, Volleyball, Snookers, Basketball, Carom, cricket Table-Tennis etc were conducted during the two days of the tournament where students participated with full zest and energy. Students showcased their unity, understanding and will-power in the various forms of sports activities and forming of human pyramid was an eye-catching one. Students displayed their strength and stamina on the ground. The University playground came alive with the electrifying performance put up by the students. Students took part in the competitive sporting activities with the aim to win the prizes and to have fun while participating in them healthy sportsmanship, sheer grit and unlimited zeal marked the atmosphere. After the two days of enthralling athletic performances, SPREE 2018, wrapped up with the Glittering closing ceremony on Saturday.
Mr. Gokul Joshi, former captain of Rajasthan football team graced the closing ceremony as the Hon’ble Chief Guest. Mr. Joshi addressed the students and congratulated them for their enthusiastic performance and also encouraged students to participate more in sports and also made them aware of importance of sports, yoga and outdoor games in the day to day life of stress and competitions. He lauded the efforts of RNBGU’s efforts to encourage student for their all-round development and to provide world class facilities for sports along with academics. Winners were awarded prizes by the Honorable Chief Guest. Best School’s Trophy was presented to the winning team of School of Commerce and Management.
As the day bid adieu SPREE was announced closed, unveiling many talents. It was a journey of competitive spirit witnessing the enthusiastic thrust of the students accompanied by winning desires.
