As an endeavour towards further growth and industrial participation the first batch of MBA at RNB Global University, Bikaner, Rajasthan, went for an educational spree to the India-International Trade Fair, Pragati Maidan on 22nd November, 2015. They were accompanied by faculty guides.
The entire class of MBA of RNB Global University landed in the national capital to visit the trade extravaganza, IITF, 2015. Right from the beginning of the tour, as candidates spread out in small groups exploring the mystic of this extravaganza, there was a fusion of anxiety, eagerness, zeal, enthusiasm which engulfed their faces. The students were thrilled to get the opportunity of first-hand experience of one of the most important trade activities of the nation. The young entrepreneurs had been assigned special projects to work on and collect data regarding them, during their trip. During an entire day’s stopover at this international mega event held at Pragati Maidan every year; the students got plentiful occasion to understand the working, dynamics, skills, contemporary trends, etc. of small to large scale industries at national and international levels. They remarked with enthusiasm how they received hands-on experience of the various marketing skills companies employ in order to attract the customer. Shubham Pugalia, Aarti Rathi and Sonali Bhansali explained to the entire visiting team what pricing policy the international Versace had employed for the fair and launch of its new cosmetic products. With stalls ranging from Government departments of Solar Energy and Railways to LIC, SEBI, RBI; resplendent industrial displays of Make in Gujarat and Make in Karnantaka to the recruitment guidance stalls of the Indian Army and Navy; and the exotic saffron and dates of the Gulf to the dazzling lamps of Turkey; the students were mesmerized by the plethora of such valuable exposure right in front of their eyes. While Sunita Siyag interacted with the artisans and businessmen at the Khadi stall; Rajshree Vyas, Manupriya Baid and Anmol Baid learnt professional skills at the Young Entreprenuers’ corner. Varun Kumar, Deeksha Bhura, Preeti Rathi, Uma Sharma and Madan Mohan Gupta studied curiously the selling skills and utilitarian methods employed in the production of consumer goods. Vikas Sharma, Sevanand Sadh and Ankit Sand studied specific financial aspects under close guidance from university teachers. The most helpful TechMart, Health Care Product Division, the proficiency of the ‘Nukkad Naatak’ publicity, the marketing strategy for re-entering the market by Maggi, the achievements of Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan, the dominance of China in the international section, the excitement of students at the Bikaneri Namkeen stalls, the interactions at the South African and the Pakistani handicraft stalls; all have left the most memorable and educative mark on the minds of the young visitors.
And, this is what set ablaze our purpose of this visit. Because, at RNB we believe that what is seen and experienced is grasped better than what is heard, and read about. This practical approach of academics at RNB, is an effort to equip our candidates with all tools which will intern help them shape their future in an apt way. The university offers an academic ambience helping candidates embrace the competitive spirit of exploring opportunities, accepting challenges while generating industrial awareness
Their experience at the trade fair was full of Josh more than anything else. The versatility of the layout by various verticals of the industry gave them a peep into the real world, where they have set their goals as future leaders.
The entrepreneurs have come back with vivid learnings in nature and description. The rebuke in the classroom is privy to the fact that such tours are a platform of exposure to the practical notion of futuristic planning at professional institutes and adds to the explicable abilities of the candidates.
