Visit to the Regional Forensic Science Laboratory, Bikaner 24-09-2025

A law student found immense value in the visit to the Regional Forensic Science Laboratory (RFSL), Bikaner. This visit provided the students with practical and authentic knowledge about the role of forensic evidence in the criminal justice system. It allowed them to understand, step by step, how crimes are solved with the help of scientific methods and technological advancements. Students received a rare insider’s view of how science operates to unravel complex puzzles of the real world, going far beyond textbook theories.

During the visit, students were introduced to the functioning of different specialized units of the laboratory. Out of the five key units, they learned in detail about Biology and Physics, along with Ballistics, Serology, and Toxicology. Each unit highlighted its importance in linking evidence to criminal activities and establishing facts in investigations. For instance, ballistics showcased how firearms are examined, while serology explained blood analysis and its value in crime detection.

The officers of the laboratory provided clear, detailed explanations on every subject and ensured that all the queries of students were addressed patiently. The interactive approach not only enhanced understanding but also inspired students to appreciate the critical role of forensic science in ensuring truth and justice.
