Rose is a symbol of love, care and concern. September 22nd of each year is observed as Rose Day, for supporting all those people around the world who are fighting with cancer.
On this special day, RNBian’s visited the Acharya Tulsi Regional Cancer Treatment & Research Institute, PBM Hospital, Bikaner distributed fruits, flowers and their wishes to people suffering from cancer and being treated at radiology, OPD, palliative care units of the Hospital. The fruits and flowers had a message attached to it: "Hope it makes you feel better to know that we care" and was signed personally by donors.
And for people like 57-year-old Ramesh, it did matter. Back in hospital for a second round of chemotherapy, the frail but cheerful woman suffering from oesophagus cancer says: "It feels good when someone fills us with hope. Everyone has to die one day or the other. But when such people come and give us encouragement, it makes us feel better."
Many patients at the Bikaner have travelled from various parts of the country for treatment. They travel to the hospital once in three weeks for their therapy.
These efforts of RNBian’s bring comfort to cancer patients with roses, cards and gifts. It is the time to make a self-awareness as well to make your life happy with a healthy lifestyle.
