Dhanteras was celebrated at RNB Global University in order to positively reinforce the students and employees. On this occasion the Hon’ble Vice Chairpersons of the RNB Global University Mr. K.K Bajaj and Mr. Vikram Bajaj commenced the celebration by lighting the lamp for the Ganesh and Laxmi Pujan.
Mr. Bulaki Das kalla, Ex Member of Rajasthan Legislative Assembly and Minister of Secondary Education was the Hon’ble Chief Guest for the event. He addressed the students and added to the festive mood by his warm and bright words explaining the Indian festivals and celebration. He further said that Festivals mark the spirit of joy and celebration; they demonstrate the rich cultural heritage of the people and thus help in bringing happiness and strength to the lives of people by spreading the message of universal brotherhood. Thus, festival celebrations help the world to facilitate the knowledge and tradition needed to be passed to the next generation. Auspicious day was celebrated at university by decorating premises and colourful with diyas, traditional motifs of Rangoli was designed to welcome the Goddess of Wealth and Prosperity. Adding colours and vibrancies to the event students performed various activities like dance, skit and competition on waste management. Student’s performances added bright colour to the festival.
How the daily wasted food could save the life of many proletariats in our civilised society— on this theme eye opening skit was designed by the students which gave a social message on the point and once again reaffirmed the vision of Mahatma Gandhi to a man with an empty stomach food is God.
