To strike a balance between academic and co-curricular activities for the students, RNB Global University Bikaner conducted a couple of competitions on Saturday, 12th November 2016. Students actively participated in the competitions like Quiz, Debate and Extempore. Quiz Competition was conducted in two rounds, the General Knowledge and the Current Affairs. 17 teams participated for the competitions, out of which 6 teams made it to the final round. Saurabh Chopra/ Gautum Chopra (BBA IIIrd semester) secured the first position and Divyaraj Rathore/ Yashpal Kumar (B.A LLB Ist semester) were the first runner up. Quiz Master Anmol Baid MBA IIIrd Semester along with Mudit Khajanchi, Sunita Siyag and Akshit Goyal hosted the various rounds of Quiz offering a fun filled learning opportunity to all.
The topic for the debate competitions was ‘PM Modi's surgical strike against black money’. 12 students participated for against and for the motion. Dr. Hansraj Arora (SOL) and Prof. Ajoy Kumar Mitra (SOCM) were the judges for the competition. After heated and great interactive session Shubham Phugalia MBA IIIrd Semester was declared the winner for the debate competition. Kartik Rajpurohit (B.SC Ist year) was the first runner –up. Uma (MBA IIIrd year) and Komalta Bhargav (LLB-Ist year) shared the position for second runner –up.
Further for the extempore competition Dr Manjoo Saraswat, Deputy Registrar and Dr. Kiran Pareek (SOASS) were the members of the jury. Participants were given 1 minute to think over the given topic and express themselves for 3 minutes. Sonali Bhansali (MBA IIIrd year) was declared as the winner for the extempore. Kartik Rajpurohit (B.Sc-Ist year) secured the first runner up position and Uma Sharma (MBA IIIrd year) was announced as second runner up.
Ms Khyati Jain Assistant Professor (SOL) Secretary of the events forum congratulated the winner and thanked everyone for their putting their effort and making the event successful.
In short the competitions gave another opportunity for the students to explore new ideas, facts and knowledge.
