In order to provide the real learning experiences and offer insights about the practical applications of their theoretical knowledge, School of Commerce and Management, RNBGU, organized an industrial visit to Urmul-Dairy, Bikaner on 08th November, 2017 for MBA-I semester students. The visit aimed at facilitating the students to acquire the first hand knowledge of the intricate working of Milk-Plant such as formation of milk committees at village level, milk collection procedure, processing of milk related to various products, distribution process, payment mechanism, cost-benefit analysis and organizational structure of dairy.
During the visit, Company officials explained the actual working of Plant in detail which enhanced the overall knowledge of students. It was a great opportunity for the students to visit one of the most renowned Dairy Industries in India and acquire knowledge about the production line. During the visit, students visited and saw the making of various processes like Milk powder, Milk and Butter preparation, etc.
Students also visited Amrit Udyog, started in 1989, having a capacity to over 50 Tonnes per day extraction and refining of edible oil, where they learned the production and operation aspects like Processing, refining, marketing vegetable oil for the food industry and providing fortified healthy edible oil to household consumers.
Such industrial exposure really sensitizes the students to the practical challenges that organizations face in the business world. It was a wonderful and interactive visit, where the students understood the production processes, products and operation of one of the best examples of co- operative achievement in the developing economy.
