FDP on Academic Excellence

RNBGU follows the legacy of educational excellence. RNBGU philosophy aims at overall development of faculty in every domain which ultimately leads to student’s improvement by providing students with the best quality of teaching and learning.
 
In this series, RNBGU organized another In-House faculty development programme on “Role of Academic Excellence in Developing World Class Institutions and Faculties” for the faculty members of Different departments including SOCM, SOBAS, SOET and SOL on 7th November 2017.
 
Distinguished Professors delivered lectures on different verticals of teaching, in which emphasis was given on making the classes more interactive and interesting, using Modern IT enabled teaching pedagogy. The session began with the prominent speaker Mr. Mayank Agrawal on Academic Excellence. The session was designed to facilitate a discourse on the pedagogy of teaching such a topic to the faculty members of the university. The emphasis was on teaching pedagogy in classrooms with real life examples. Also the focus of this session was how to make the theme relevant to the academics in their personal and professional lives and that of the other stakeholders. The session highlighted various options for making the classroom learning more interactive and interesting. The next session was conducted by Dr. Ajoy Mitra, Convener, SOCM in which he provided a framework so that the low performing students can be guided and become the part of the mainstream. Dr. Kumud Sarin, Dean, SOBAS and Dr. Bhatia also shared their experience with the faculty members during the session.
 
The participant were immensely benefited and desired to conduct such programme of more duration and at regular interval.
