A workshop was organized by School of Law, RNB Global University, Bikaner on “Moot court Technique” on 7th October 2017. Dr. Tarun Arora, Associate Professor & Associate Dean, School of Legal Studies and Governance, Central University of Punjab was the speaker of this workshop.
The special focus of the workshop was on Preparation for Moot Court. The program began with introduction and welcome address by Mr Ashok prem, Assistant Professor, School of Law, RNBGU. The entire programme was divided into three different sessions. In first session, Dr. Arora, enlightened the students regarding basic of moot court whereas in the second session main emphasis was on application aspect.
Which type of mannerism needs to be followed in front of judges; how to apply the existing laws in reality, why there is a need for developing thought process in the mind of law students; how the ability to think differently and that to make distinction by indifference works as an indispensable part of the art of mooting—these points have been specifically emphasized.
It is a special point to note that students’ participation was highly appreciable. The third session which was basically reserved for open interaction, students have raised number of unique questions which the School of Law is taking as a sign of encouragement. All students of School of Law were present in this moot court workshop.
