The Honourable High Court Visit was held on 06th Mar 2017 by fourteen students of School of Law, RNB Global University which was escorted by Ms. Deepali Sahoo and Ms. Khyati Jain, Assistant Prof’s at the School of Law. The visit was permitted by the Registrar of the High Court Bench. The students were given brief note about the court and court rooms by Advocate Kaushal Gautam, who is practicing lawyer at High Court of Rajasthan. He guided all the students and dictated the Jurisdiction of the High Court Bench. He explained about Division bench which consist of 2 Judges and single bench consists of 1 Judge. The students visited court number 1, in which there was an argument between the lawyer and the Honourable Acting Chief Justice Dr. J. Puspendre Singh Bhati. The case was on PIL. Students moved to court number 4, benched for criminal proceedings about bail of the accused person who was filed with murder case. Court number 2 benched a Family court in which there was an issue of matrimonial matters and also a case based on mid-day meal scheme. Court number 5 was benched by Honourable Justice Nirwaljeet Kaur to decide a case based on appointment of Special Teachers in state of Rajasthan. After visiting several court rooms to get knowledge about the bench bar relationship, Adv Kaushal Gautam accompanied the students for the visit of Honourable High Court library. The students went through all the journals (criminal and civil matters), publications, articles and law books.
The visit came to an end in the evening with a thanks giving note to Advocate Kaushal Gautam for enlightening the students of such facts which brought out the difference in the proceedings between the District Court and Honourable High Court. The students also got to know the jurisdiction of the court and the type of cases that can be instituted in District Court Jurisdiction and Honourable High court jurisdiction. The difference between Article 226 and Article 32 of Indian Constitution was well brief to the student by Advocate Kaushal Gautam too. This visit will help the students of School of Law to participate in Moot Courts by implementing the rules and regulations as implemented in the court. The visit also gave new ideas to formulate law, how to study the cases or precedents etc. The students were thankful to the management of the University for providing such an opportunity of real life learning to gain the practical knowledge through this visit thereby helping them to understand the different hierarchy of the courts.
On this occasion they also extended their special thanks to the Dean, School of Law Dr. Chattar Singh for the encouragement and guidance given by him for such kind of visits so as to learn and get innovative ideas.
